They started out under the name 'Inspite' but later changed to 'Decipher'. Chunk (real name Chris) and Chris (the drummer), work together. Chris knew a singer 'name undisclosed' so he asked Chunk if he was interested in starting a band, and at the time Chunk was looking to start a band.
A few weeks later they entered the studio to rehearse/write... But without a bass player it made it difficult. They then recruited Sean (a mate of a mate)for the bass playing duties.
This line up lasted for several months, then the band was after a second/lead guitarist. After months of trying they gave up and just went with the flow, before a storm started forming between Chunk and the singer. Over time the bands music became heavier, more complex and with a faster tempo, the band were aware of these changes. This caused a lot of tension causing the singer to leave the band for personal reasons, and to persue his own project.
Sean then took the mic as lead vocals as well as playing bass, this continued for 2 months before recruiting Shaun (a good mate of Sean's) for the role of lead guitars and backing vocals. The band then started writing heavier, faster, and younger sounding material.
Currently Decipher are writing and rehearsing material for up and comin gigs and recordings.
